On Monday, December 18th, The high school and elementary kids held their annual Christmas concert. The night was full of singing, dancing, and Christmas spirit! The high school choir sang songs such as “Born ‘Neath A Star”, and “Christmas Time””. Caleb S. played guitar their final song named “Hallelujah”. Lillian P. also had a very nice solo. The K-4 kids also did a Christmas play labeled “Elflandia”by John Jacobson and John Higgins. They sang many songs that spread the holiday cheer and the audience loved it! To finish off the night, the high school band performed the songs “Jingle Bell Rock”, “A Peaceful Christmas”, “Silver Bells”, and finally “Winter Wonderland”. Once the band concluded, everybody was invited to have a cookie in the old gym. Everybody did a fantastic job on the night and the audience loved it.

Boys Basketball with Northern Valley, Arapahoe, and Pleasanton
The Falcon basketball team suffered their first lost on Tuesday, December 12th. They had a home game against Northern Valley, Kansas. The game was close, and the boys played well but lost. The final score of the game was 55-65. Their next game was on Thursday against Arapahoe. The team came out with a nice victory over the Warriors. The final score of the game was 51-40. They played one more game on Saturday. This game was home, and it was also a great win! The Falcons outscored the bulldogs 40-28! Great job Falcons! Their next game is on December 29th in Hampton! Girls Basketball vs. Pleasanton and Arapahoe
Last Thursday, the girls basketball team played a home game against Arapahoe. Both teams played very well but the Falcons ended up with a win. The final score of the game was 40-21. The girls played another home game on Saturday against Pleasanton. It was a very tough and intense game, and after a long battle for a win, the girls lost. The final score of the game was 42-26. Their next game is included in the Holiday Tournament in Hampton against Harvard. Good luck to the girls on their upcoming games!
Girls Basketball vs. Northern Valley
On December 12, the girls had a home game against Northern Valley. It was a very intense game between both teams, but the Falcons ended up with a win. The final score was 48-37, bringing their record to a 5-0 streak. Their next game is home on Thursday, December 14. Good job to the girls on their win and good luck with their future games!
Axtell Invite
Congrats to all the wrestlers at the Axtell invite on December 12th. Lane L. coming in Third, Riley R. coming in Fourth, and Creed J. putting up some great matches. Wish them luck in their next meet in Cambridge on December 16th.
One-act Public Performance
On Saturday, December 9th, the One-act team put on a performance at the Wilcox school building for the public. The goal was to show off our final performance of the year and to raise a little money for new stage lights. The play went very well and everybody was happy with the turn-out. Congratulations to the One-act team on a great year, and good luck next year!
Boys Basketball at Shelton and Alma
The boy’s basketball team played two more games last week! Their 3rd game of the year was on December 7th, at Shelton. The team played well and won with a final score of 69-43. Great job Falcons! They played their first home game the following day. Their opponent was Alma, and the Falcons won with a final score of 54-36! The team’s record is now 4-0! Their next game is on Tuesday, December 12th, at home. You can find the times of the games under “Boys Basketball” in the “Sports” tab on the home page!
Girls Basketball vs. Shelton and Alma
Last Thursday, the girls basketball team traveled to Shelton to continue with their season. The girls played a tough game and won, the final score being 42-25. On Friday, there was a home game against Alma. The girls battled for a win and came through. The final score for the girls was 37-29. Their next game is home against Northern Valley on December 12. FBLA Christmas Party
On Monday, December 11 the Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA chapter had a Christmas party. The party was held in the high school business room. There was food, games, and crafts. There was a gift exchange and everyone got a gift. The group also played a very intense game of “Four Santa’s on a Couch.” Everyone had a great time. Thank you to all who came!
Wrestling at Harvard Invite
On Saturday, December 2nd, the Falcon wrestling team traveled to Harvard to compete in their first competition of the year. All of the wrestlers competed very well and the results are as follows:
