The Second Graders are having a Lemonade and Treat Sale on Wednesday, April, 12. If you would like to support the Second Grade, they will be selling at two times. The first time will from 9:15-10:15, the following time will be from 1:30-2:30. Both the treats and the lemonade will be 25 cents each. The money is going towards the AR Star Store.
The Falcon track team recently competed in two meets. The first one was at Wilcox and the second one was at Axtell. The results of the meet are as follows:
Sidney G.-3rd in Triple Jump
Aaron J.- 4th in Pole Vault
Caleb S.-1st in 3200 meter run
The boys 4×800 meter relay also received 6th place and the boys’ team got 9th out of 15 total teams.
Carlie R.- 5th in Discus
Abby Q. – 6th in Triple Jump, 4th in 400 meter dash
Kathryn P. – 5th in Pole Vault
Sydnie V. – 6th in High Jump, 7th in 100 meter hurdles
The girls also received 7th in the 4×100 meter relay and placed 11th out of 15 teams.
On Monday, the Falcon Quizbowl team traveled to Alma for a meet. The team did very well and placed 3rd! There were 8 teams participating in the meet. The team was in a total of 4 rounds, and their final record for the day was 2-2. Their next meet was at Bertrand. They played a total of 6 rounds and won 2. Great job at Alma and Bertrand! On Friday, February 17, the Wilcox-Hildreth boys played the Amherst Broncos at home. This was the last home game of the season. The boys played hard but lost with a final score of 80-53. The following day the Falcons played Harvard, at Harvard. They played well and won with a final score of 48-41. The boys’ next game is Tuesday, February 21, at 6:00 P.M. They will play Axtell at the C.L. Jones Middle School. Good luck boys!
On Friday, February 10th, the wrestling team headed to Amherst for District Wrestling. This was their last meet of the year. The results are as follows:
Riley Ritner (did not place): Round 1 – Riley received a bye. Quarterfinal – Alex Schmidt won by a fall over Riley. Cons. Round 2 – Kyle Johnson won by a major decision over Riley.
Jason Bennetts (did not place): Round 1 – Jason received a bye. Quarterfinal – Dalton Shimmin won by a fall over Jason. Cons. Round 2 – Jason won by a fall over Cauy Bennett. Cons. Round 3 – Micah Noel won by a fall over Jason.

On Tuesday, February 7th, the boys and girls played Overton at home. Since this is the girls’ last home game, it was also Parent’s Night. Both the boys and girls JV played prior to the Varsity and won. The results of the games are as follows:
Girl’s Varsity (L): 48-26
Boy’s Varsity (L): 65-63
On Saturday, January 28th, the girls Varsity basketball team went to Pleasanton to play in the bunny bracket for the Fort Kearny Conference. Wilcox-Hildreth was the 9th seed and they played Amherst who was the 8th seed. The girls played a close game but lost with a final score of 43-32. Their next game is on Tuesday, February 7th at home. They will play Overton and it will be parents night. Good luck against Overton!
On Friday January 20th, the girls Varsity played Axtell and on January 24th, they played Silver Lake. Due to illness and injury, girls JV did not play. First they played Axtell at home. The girl’s worked hard but lost, with a final score of 47-18. Next they played Silver Lake at Roseland. The girl’s lost with a final score of 35-31. Their next game is Friday at Franklin. On Friday, January 13th, the girls played Loomis at home. The girl’s team has had many injuries but they still played great! They lost to Loomis with a final score of 68-36. The following night they played Eustis-Farnam. The JV girls played first and won! Great job girls! The girls varsity lost with a final score of 41-27. Good luck at your next game!
On Friday January 6th, the Girl’s JV and Varsity basketball team traveled to Kenesaw to play. The JV played first and lost. Next the Varsity played and they lost with a score of 46-30. They played Elm Creek the following night. Both teams lost but fought hard. The final score of the girl’s Varsity was 70-29. Good luck with your next game!
