The Wilcox-Hildreth Middle School Christmas Concert took place Tuesday, December 6th in Hildreth. The concert was directed by Tim Trausch, co-directed by student teacher Ruth Vakoc, and accompanied by Pat Beck. The 5th and 6th grade started the night singing “Silver Bells”, “Joy to the World”, and “The Angel Band”. Then 7th and 8th Grade sang “Jingle Bell Rock”, “A Carol Festival”, and “Pat-A-Pan”. Sarah J. then took on a solo performance singing “Where Are You Christmas?”. After that the 5th Grade Band played a variety of songs such as: “Hot Cross Christmas Buns”, “London Bridge”, and “Jingle Bells”. The 6th grade band then performed “Angels We Have Heard on High”, “Deck The Halls”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “We Three Kings”, and “Theme From New World Symphony”. The 7th and 8th grade band ended the night with “O Come Emmanuel”, “A Holly Jolly Christmas”, and “Christmas Angels”.
Later in December, on the 19th, the elementary and high school had their Christmas Concert. Grades K-4 kicked off the night with “Here Them Ring”, “Grumpy”, and “Snowmageddon!”. 2nd grade, Kindergarten, and 1st grade each performed a few songs per class. After that 2nd through 4th grade sang “Together”, together. K-4th then finished the elementary portion of the concert with “The Sound In Your Heart and “Hear Them Ring”. The High School Choir then sang “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”, “Three Holiday Glorias”, “O Holy Night”, and “Born ‘Neath A Star”. After that the High School Band finished the night with “Christmas Bells and Brass”, “Winter Wonderland”, and “A Magnificent Christmas”. Thank you for all who came and supported the music department.
