The Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA and FFA chapters are hosting a food drive to help raise donations for the Wilcox Food Pantry. The two chapters’ goal is to reach 1,400 canned or non-perishable food items. If the goal is reached, the entire school gets December 21 off. The deadline for the goal is in two weeks, October 31. As of right now, the two chapters have 755 items. There will be collection boxes for you to drop off items at the home volleyball game Oct. 16, and at the Homecoming games on Thursday night, Oct. 18. Let’s reach our goal!

The Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA Chapter participated at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Omaha on April 4th-6th. All qualifying members of FBLA have the chance to meet new people, establish new connections, and learn about the values of hard work. The conference lasts for three days, and members can take tests, do projects, and go to seminars. The insightful seminars are most commonly about leadership, public speaking, and learning to use your full potential to exceed in the workforce. At the 2019 State Leadership Conference, the Wilcox-Hildreth Chapter had two project teams place in the top eight rankings.
Abby Q. and Jordyn P. placed fourth with their project, Publication design. This summer they will be attending the National FBLA conference in San Antonio, Texas where they will present their amazing project! Jeremy, Abby, and Brooke presented a project in the category Partnership with Business and received sixth place. The hard-working FBLA members put all their effort into what they competed in at the 2019 State Leadership Conference.
Donate Your Jeans!!
The Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA is calling for your help on a quick mission! You have until this Wednesday February 27th.
We are collecting new and slightly worn denim to provide a contribution to the safe center. So hunt through your closet the next couple days for those jeans you don’t wear and donate them to someone who can.
Please bring your items to your classroom to be picked up. High school can bring theirs to the business classroom. Thank you for your contribution to our quick mission!
The combined FBLA & FFA Food Drive was an amazing success. We collected our highest numbers of food items to donate to the local food pantry ever! This year our goal was 1400 items and Wilcox-Hildreth met and surpassed that goal. Thank you to everyone who donated items. This was a huge success!!
On Tuesday, September 25th, the Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA chapter traveled to Kearney for the annual Fall Leadership Conference. The conference was held at the Holiday Inn. The day consisted of listening to a motivational speaker, Billy Cordes, and attending workshops about being an FBLA officer. It was a very productive day for the members of FBLA.
The Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA partnered with Big John’s Ford in Minden during the Wilcox Fall Festival on September 15th for Ford’s Drive 4 UR School. Ford donated $20 for every test drive taken. The FBLA raised $2,280 for the FBLA program and it was a great success!
On Saturday September 15, 2018 from 9:00 AM till 4:00 PM, during the Fall Festival, the Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA will be hosting a Test Drive For Your School Event sponsored by Ford. Big John’s Ford from Minden will be bringing down a variety of vehicles possibly including the following: An Edge, Explorer, Expedition, F-150, F-250, and a Fiesta. For every test-drive taken Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the Wilcox-Hildreth FBLA, for a total of up to $6,000. What an amazing opportunity for our small town and a great way to support the organization.
You don’t have to purchase a car and you will not be hassled, just come out and test drive and help us out! Our goal is 300 drivers and each and every one of you can make this happen. The cars will be out south of the gas station in Wilcox. You must be 18 years old to test drive and only one per address is eligible to enter to raise money for our school, but anyone can drive, so bring your relatives and friends. You will fill out a short survey before and after your drive and you will be helping out a great cause!
