Random Acts of Kindness Week
Feb. 10-13
Guest Speaker
We will kick off the week of celebrations with a guest speaker from the Kim Foundation. The Kim Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to increase awareness around mental health. The guest speaker will be speaking to K-2, 3-6, and 7-12 on how to be kind to themselves by teaching them coping skills when having strong emotions. The 7-12 presentation will bring light to mental health and suicide prevention. Parents and community members are welcome to attend. Below is the agenda for the presentations.
Feb. 10 Guest Speaker Schedule
11:00-12:00 7-12 grade in Wilcox Main Gym
12:45-1:45 K-2 grade in Wilcox Main Gym
2:15-3:15 3-6 in Hildreth Main Gym
Pennies for Patients
K-12th grade will be collecting money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society beginning Feb. 10-28th. Please encourage your child to bring spare change or dollars to school. Each class will have their own bucket to donate to. The class with the most money collected will earn a pizza party.
Character Corral
On Tuesday, February 11 the K-6 grade students will meet at the Hildreth site to learn about the 6 Pillars of Character. Each station will be led by the 6th grade students.
Monday-Thursday
*7-12 graders will have a Kindness Challenge in each morning announcement and participate in a Third-Party Compliments activity and Kindness Bingo
*K-2 will participate in a Tic-Tac-Toe Kindness Challenge and 3-6 will participate in Kindness Bingo
