Snapchat

Parents, do you know who your child is talking to on Snapchat, the "disappearing" chat app? There is an easy way to find out! By checking out the links below, you can easily see who your child is talking to, who they are friends with, and restrict content in Spotlight and Stories.

Snapchat can be a dangerous app. Although the snaps and chats "disappear", they can be screenshotted or recorded by the receiver. Snapchat also allows its users to share their location with everyone, this can be changed to certain people (ex. mom, dad, brothers/sisters), or it can be changed to Ghost Mode so nobody can see their location.

Having those conversations about who your child is talking to, making sure they are talking about safe things, not sharing personal information or location, and being kind online should always be had. However, it is especially important when your child starts to use Snapchat.
