
The Wilcox Methodist Church is offering free summer lunches again this year. Please sign up your students by May 9, 2025. Forms are being sent home with students K-8 and are available in the office for students 9-12.

Records continue to fall for the Falcon track team!! Today at Arapahoe, freshman Camryn Bunger won the girls high jump, and set a new school record in the process, clearing 5'4.25"! Congratulations Camryn, keeping soaring to new heights!!


Please pre-order the 24/25 yearbooks for $45. All previous yearbooks except for the last two years are $10 or less. The 23/24 yearbooks are $45.00, and the 22/23 yearbook's are $30. Yearbooks will be available at the Academic/Athletic Awards Banquet or contact Mrs. Julie Tarr.

Graiden Ritner once again broke the school record in the 200 meter! His new record time is 22.61. Graiden also won the 100 meter at Bertrand this afternoon. There were many great Falcon performances today! Full results can be found at this link:

The freshmen had a great day at the Holdrege Career Fair! They were able to talk with many local businesses to learn about career opportunities. They also attended sessions on STEM careers, interviewing, and how to pay for college.






The mechatronics class and sophomores were able to learn about education and business opportunities in the plastic manufacturing field! Thank you, Karl and CCC for exposing us to career opportunities!



The seniors enjoyed competing for the Lemonade and Treats Sale Scholarship! Thank you, Miss Sheen and all of the 4th grade class, for your hard work and testing our prodigy math skills! We had a blast and refreshed our 4th grade math skills!





The Kindergarteners went on a field trip to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. We learned about what a patient room and ambulance look like and all about x-rays. We even had a surprise and got to see the helicopter. We ended the day with playing at the park. We had a great time!

The Lincoln Journal-Star and Omaha World-Herald released their all-state basketball teams over the weekend. The following girls basketball players earned recognitions in both newspapers: Madison Bunger (2nd team All-State); Cara Bunger and Katelyn Bunger (honorable mention).

Congratulations to all of our FBLA State Awards placers! Cara Bunger: 1st Place in Electronic Career Portfolio and 18th Place in Healthcare Administration out of 343 competitors; Craig Bunger: 4th Place in Computer Problem Solving out of 87 competitors, 6th Place in Introduction to Information Technology out of 187 competitors, and 10th Place in Networking Infrastructure; Chloe Johnson: 7th Place in Introduction to Business Presentation and she also achieved the Business Achievement Award-BAA Leader Level. Congratulations to all of our winners and congratulations to Cara and Craig on making it to Nationals this year in Anaheim, California!

It's that time of year where I bring in guest speakers to present on topics that seniors need to know about to transition into adulthood. If you are willing to come present on an adulting living topic, please let me know. So far, I have speakers talking about credit cards, loans, and credit scores.

Clarinet and Flute Day at UNK! 7 Falcons learned from UNK professors this morning and performed in a concert after lunch. So incredibly proud of these young ladies for their hard work and dedication to becoming better musicians!




1st graders are learning all about volunteering and taking care of our Earth, so we headed outside to clean up trash around school!






Freshmen: We will be leaving the school at 7:50 on Wednesday next week to attend the Career Fair in Holdrege. The event is from 8:20-12:00. Students will need to sign up for a school sack lunch or bring their own. We will go over what that day will look like on Monday.
