Counselor challenge- Mrs. Mach and I are continuing our weekly challenges to keep our Falcons going strong. This week is all about reaching out to people. During this time of year we are used to seeing our loved ones, but with social distancing to help keep everyone safe and healthy, our connections between others can get lost. This week I challenge Mrs. Mach and our Falcons to write a handwritten note to someone and drop it in the mail. @whfalcons or #falconnation! Stay Connected!!

It was so fun to zoom with the 8th grade class! They are quite the class... we saw several dogs, a cat, and even a baby chick! One student was even in a tractor, and we celebrated a birthday! Stay strong, 8th grade and thanks for zooming!

We have some more fun enrichment activities for families this week! These will also be posted in the news section of the app & website. It has been so fun seeing everyone's results. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OAo19ANFM5fFo4pZFYWSrpVd2lzKvil98md5RLOTVEo/edit?usp=sharing

Our first Counselor Challenge is completed! Thanks for participating, Falcon Nation and Mrs. Simmons. Focus on the positives and you will have a powerful mindset!

Glenwood Einspahr, Hildreth (1950) will be inducted into the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame in August. A one-man track team, competing without a coach, Einspahr gave Hildreth a Class D co-championship by winning the 100- and 220-yard dashes and the long jump. A two-time all-state selection in basketball, he led Hildreth to an undefeated state championship in 1949. He played freshman football at Nebraska and after a stint in the Air Force, he played basketball at Kearney State College.

Falcon Nation: Yesterday the Governor announced that all schools buildings across the state will remain closed through May 31. The NSAA has also cancelled all spring activities. We are continuing with our educational plan for the remainder of this school year.

We would like to send a big thank you to Fritz's Market in Hildreth for donating paper bags so that the school could continue to deliver meals to students when we ran out of bags! Our communities rock! #Falconpride

More people hard at work today. Michelle had to take her office outside for a bit to take some phone calls due to phone systems being down. Mrs. Bunger is problem solving that now.
